Recently, China Tianying Inc. (CNTY) and State Grid Jiangsu Integrated Energy Service Co., Ltd. (SGJIES) signed a strategic cooperation agreement to carry out in-depth cooperation in energy storage projects and implement a comprehensive, long-term and stable strategic partnership.
In terms of energy storage technologies and projects, the two sides will complement each other's resources according to their respective advantages. CNTY will provide technological resources regarding gravity energy storage to SGJIES, and SGJIES will provide to CNTY consulting services in the design and planning review of power grid access systems, grid connection, grid-related tests, etc., promoting integration between gravity energy storage technology and grid development.
The Rudong GESS Demonstration Unit is the world's first 100MWh-scale gravity energy storage project, which is of great strategic significance for improving the quality of renewable energy generation and use, achieving high-quality utilization of renewable energy, and building a zero-carbon energy demonstration center in the Yangtze River Delta region.
