CNTY CEO Cao Debiao Called on Maldives President Muizzu

On March 20th, CNTY CEO Cao Debiao called on the President of the Republic of the Maldives, H.E. Mohamed Muizzu, at the President's Office. The two sides carried out in-depth exchanges on the bilateral cooperation regarding environmental protection and new energy, with a series of projects finalized. Senior Maldivian officials, including Foreign Minister Moosa Zameer, Minister of Climate Change, Environment and Energy Thoriq Ibrahim, and Principal Secretary to the President on Corporate Development Mohamed Shahid, also attended the meeting.

During the exchanges, CEO Cao Debiao highlighted CNTY's business development plans in the Maldives, emphasizing CNTY's readiness to give full play to its strengths, to fully deliver the consensus reached between His Excellency and CNTY Chairman Yan Shengjun regarding solid waste treatment, environmental services and new energy in Beijing this January. The next step is to proceed comprehensively with these environmental services and new energy projects across the Maldives, so as to better the environment in the Maldives.

After a warm welcome to the delegation of CEO Cao Debiao, President Muizzu commended CNTY's positive contributions to improving the environment and scientific treatment of solid waste in the Maldives. His Excellency expressed his expectations that by employing its professional and efficient environmental management means, CNTY would actively carry out waste collection and transportation business across the Maldives, and undertake the waste-to-energy (WtE) power generation projects in the capital Malé, Addu, and Vandhoo, the three major regional waste treatment centers in the Maldives, so as to boost the proportion of renewable energy, and ultimately benefit both local people and tourists from all over the world. The Maldives will provide its fullest support to CNTY in the conduct of its business.
